Austin, TX Commercial Street Sweeping
Curb-line sweeping for commercial corridors, HOA streets, and municipal routes across Austin and the surrounding areas, over some of the most environmentally sensitive ground in Texas.
At a glance
Swept streets, protected creeks
Moore Clean runs street sweeping routes across Austin and the surrounding areas, covering commercial frontage along I-35, US-183 and SH-45, tech-corridor streets around The Domain and the Arboretum, and HOA and master-planned community streets through Cedar Park, Georgetown, Pflugerville, Leander and Hutto, with routes reaching south through Buda, Kyle and San Marcos into Hays County. Most routes run overnight, when curb lines are clear and the equipment has full access to the gutter.
Austin gives street sweeping a second mandate: the city drains through a network of creeks, including Shoal, Waller, Barton and dozens more, toward the Colorado River, and parts of the region sit over the Edwards Aquifer recharge zone. Sediment lifted off a curb line here isn’t just cleaner pavement; it’s material that never reaches a creek buffer or a recharge feature.
That workload keeps growing: U.S. Census Bureau population estimates consistently rank the Austin area among the fastest-growing regions in the country, and growth brings more traffic, more construction, and more debris to the curb line.

Routes run regenerative-air machines, including Schwarze A7 Tornado and TYMCO 435 class sweepers that vacuum fine sediment rather than pushing it down the block. Our guide on how street sweepers work explains the difference the technology makes. Retail centers along the tech corridors typically pair frontage sweeping with parking lot sweeping in a single overnight visit.

Why it matters
How does sweeping fit Austin’s watershed rules?
Street sweeping is a recognized stormwater best management practice on the EPA’s national BMP menu and in TxDOT’s stormwater program. It removes pollutants before rain mobilizes them. In Austin the local bar is higher than most: Austin Watershed Protection manages over 850 miles of creeks, and development in and around the recharge zone answers to some of the strictest water-quality standards in the state.
Every route is GPS-logged with service reports, so an HOA board in Georgetown or a property manager on the recharge-zone side of town can show, on paper, that pavement source control is part of how the property operates.

Questions
Austin street sweeping FAQ
Do you sweep HOA streets in the Austin suburbs?
Yes. Communities across Round Rock, Cedar Park, Georgetown, Leander, and Pflugerville are core territory. Boards typically schedule monthly or quarterly full curb-line routes, cul-de-sacs included, with reports for the management file. New-build communities near active construction usually start with a heavier cadence until the surrounding dirt work settles.
Does sweeping matter more over the recharge zone?
It does. Storm drains in the Edwards Aquifer recharge zone can carry pollutants toward the aquifer itself, which is why water-quality standards there are the strictest in the region. Removing sediment at the curb is one of the simplest, most defensible source controls a property over sensitive ground can operate.
When do routes run?
Mostly overnight and early morning, with empty curb lines, no daytime traffic on I-35 and US-183 frontage, clean pavement before business hours. Daytime windows are available where site conditions call for them.
Can you clean up after downtown events and festivals?
Yes. Event districts are a specialty. We sweep the route or venue perimeter before gates open and again after teardown, overnight, so the street is reset before the next morning’s traffic. For recurring event calendars we hold standby windows.
